EPPING FOREST OUTDOOR GROUP
A walk by the sea shore of the Dengie Peninsular near Bradwell on Sea, on the Essex coast, was our day excursion on 31st March 2007. A bright, but windy day, with white-horses breaking on to the shell beaches of the Dengie. Parking, and then walking the half-mile to lonely St. Peter's Chapel, we visited the building that has stood here on the edge of the North Sea since it was built in 654 AD by St Cedd. Then on with the walk, along the sea wall, stopping for lunch at Bradwell, with some sitting by the boats and others visiting the pub.

Disposing of one of the younger walkers...
After lunch, the Group were joined by a German Shepherd dog which - apparently lost - accompanied the Group for the rest of the walk. This included a visit to the Community of Othona where, while we were treated to tea, the dog stole a ball and killed it. Then - as some left for home - Maz and Peter diligently and successfully found the owners of the dog; they had only owned it since that morning! EFOG - and the dog - all had a good day.
