About the Web site

The Web Site is navigated primarily using the single bar, as on this page above. Sometimes a second - or even more - bars are shown.

Some notes about the site below:

•  There are a number of "Contents" pages, for example Scrollable Pages, Places, People. etc. This is deliberate and provides for printing out in something like book form aspects of the site and still having a guide without website links.

•  Most of the information has been written and the photographs taken by myself. Where this is not the case, acknowledgements are given.

•  Some of the information - particularly regarding history etc. - has been gleaned from a variety of sources. Not all of these have been acknowledged (a lot of it is in my head) - but no infringement of copyright is intended.

•  Any views expressed - unless otherwise noted - are my own and do not relate to any other group or organisation.

•  You can use the information fairly freely, even the photographs; but acknowledgements would be nice.

•  There is a strong connection between this site and the WREN Conservation Group site, which I also maintain. Indeed a lot of the information here used to be on that site and some of it relates back to old WREN Group records and publications.
