3 Feb. Wild Radish, but still not sure whether the other plant is Brassica rapa. Common Fumitory and Germander Speedwell nearby in flower. Went on to photograph the Mistletoe Viscum album growing on Hawthorn. (photo). Looked at the wood by Harrow Road - Snowdrops and - just - Common Comfrey - in Flower, Tree Cotoneaster with berries (photo), and a Privet. Along Harrow Road-side, Yellow Crocus.

4 Feb. At the end of Northumberland Ave, near Park Road, hundreds of flowering Early Crocus (Crocus thommasinianus) in two main patches. Some also seen near Park gates opposite Wanstead Park Avenue. Had a look along Woodlands Avenue wayleave. Almost at the beginning right next to a tree are some evergreen leaves - not sure if it is Holm Oak or maybe a Viburnum - not in flower. A Caper Spurge, Crow Garlic and a Purple Garden Crocus on the disturbed bank furthur along. The Spring Starflower is in flower, and almost level with SW corner of SOM is an expanse of previously unnoticed Snowberry, and a patch of a few Early Crocus. Also a garden outcast was a crinkle leaved plant, probably Large Cuckoo Pint (Arum italicum). (photo)
