Wildlife photographed in and around Wanstead Park

The area includes Wanstead Park itself, Wanstead Flats, Bush Wood, the old Sewage Works Site (also known as the Exchange Land), the City of London Cemetery and some other nearby localities. Use the menu bar to the left to choose the type of wildlife.

The photographs are presented in family order. Each is referred to by its common name and by its scientific name.

Clicking on the thumbnail will take you to a large-scale photograph; from here click "Back" to return to the thumbnails or "Previous" or "Next" to look at a sequence of large-scale photographs arranged in family order. Clicking on "More" will show another example of that species, although not necessarily taken in the same local site.

The large scale photographs have been labeled with the date photographed and the location.

Unless otherwise stated the photographs were taken by myself, Paul Ferris, and unless found in the house or moth trap are usually where found "in the field".
