The numbers of Greylag Geese have increased over the years, particularly around Alexandra Lake, and although there are still not the numbers as of Canada Geese, the two species do mingle to some extent and easily co-exist. In fact this mingling is sometimes taken to other extremes where individuals of the two species pair up, and even manage to have hybrid offspring.
