Photographed near Alexandra Lake on Wanstead Flats in 2011, but not recognised as this species until 2017.

Clark's Mining Bee is according to Falk (2015) widespread and locally common, especially in heathland districts of southern England. It visits willows and also colt's-foot and dandelions.
