The first known record of Arrow-head was in the Roding, Wanstead Park, in 1941 by G. Lister. It was recorded again in 1976, but not since then until 2009, where it appeared to be in the same location.

This plant is located on the east side of the River Roding, just north of the Coronation Bridge.
