Notes
This plant is growing at the west end of Heronry Pond, and had not been seen until June 2018. It appeared, together with an adjacent Great Reed-mace, after the pond had been allowed to almost dry out whilst the invasive Floating Pennywort was treated in the Perch Pond. Until then, Club-rush had only been seen in the River Roding, by Wanstead Park and by the old sewage works. I am not sure which Club-rush species it is.
Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani, Grey Clubrush, is recorded as being present in Wanstead Park area in the "Flora of Essex" (Jermyn)
