This London Plane is growing by "the boards" - so called because of the wooden planking supporting the lake-bank here - on the western edge of the Ornamental Waters near Warren Wood. There are numereous mature planes growing in the Park, but this one appears to be self-seeded - an unusual occurence for this species.
