The Weymouth Pine has been a notable feature of the Glade for many years. On the 18th of January 2007, heavy winds brought the tree down.

Wanstead Park only has a few species of coniferous trees; there is the solitary Wellingtonia on the Plain, the impressive Cedar of Lebanon at the bottom of the Glade, and some old and an increasing numbers of sapling Yews. The only Scots Pine - on Lincoln Island - came down some years ago.
