I first spotted Wood Anemones in Wanstead Park as a small patch growing at the bottom of Florrie's Hill. Some more was seen later by a small track through Warren Wood, but hardly noticeable due to being almost swamped in undergrowth.

Attempting to enhance and protect these delicate plants, some clearance was done over subsequent years, and the result seems to have been an increase in occurences of the plants in other parts of the park.

Notably, and most easily seen is a patch at the north edge of Chalet Wood, by the main access track from the Warren Road gates into the park.
