Red-eared Terrapins are present in many of the local waters, commonly and easily seen in the Old Crematorium Pond in the City of London Cemetery, but also having been seen in the Ornamental Waters and the Perch Pond in Wanstead Park as well as Alexandra Lake on Wanstead Flats
