This was high up on vegetation in a rough grassland area of Wanstead Flats.

The identification of this caused me a problem for a long while, and then I resorted to asking an expert, David Carr. He confirmed that it was a Xysticus species, and although not possible to tell from my photograph, possibly X. kochi.
