A worrying find, that this potentially highly invasive species - originating in North America - has spread into the islands at the west end of Perch Pond.

I reported the presence of this plant in the pond in September last year, and it seems that little if anything has been done to try to remove it. Now that it has got into the islands I suspect that it will be almost impossible to deal with
