Looking somewhat like an ant, this is a parasitic wasp. This was found and photographed in the porch of her house in Lorne Road by Rose Stephens.

The wasp lays its eggs in the eggs of spiders, and interestingly Rose noticed it heading at speed towards a Labulla thoratica spider which had been in the porch for a few days.
